Bio
Tom McCarthy Jr. is a freelance photojournalist currently based out of Baltimore, Md. A graduate of the photojournalism program at the University of Florida, he strives to capture the beauty, pain and excitement around him to share with those who might otherwise miss it. McCarthy served as the Director of Photography and lead photographer at the Vero Beach 32963 newsweekly where he set the tone for the paper's weekly photographic representation. His work has also been publish in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Peoria Journal Star, The Gainesville Sun, Independent Banker Magazine and the Wall Street Journal. McCarthy enjoys people, color(s), big cities, small towns, sunrises, sunsets, thunderstorms, sci-fi novels and...um, photography, of course. He is available for assignment worldwide.
